2008 has the highest number of films on the list with a total of seven. 2007 and 2006 are tied with six films respectively, followed by 2009 with four films and 2010 with one film. Since this list is not adjusted for inflation, it tends to favour films in more recent years with nearly eighty-seven percent of the films in the top 30 being released after 2000; an inflation-adjusted list can be found below. Films released prior to 1994 do not appear in the list because inflation, population size and ticket purchasing trends are not considered. Figures are given in Indian rupees. A good night’s sleep has now turned into 40 winks…a nap if I’m lucky. Last night, all my luck had run out…my mind kept racing and I couldn’t keep up. I got out of bed so many times it was as though there was a pea under it. I locked the door. I needed a drink of water. I’d forgotten to fake tan my neck. It was completely ricockulous. I would have minded less if I didn’t have a 9am tutorial on the EU and the Euro…what a thrilling prospect that was! Saying this I almost had fun, I’m such a neek (that’s nerd meets geek) sometimes…I find the most random things hilarious. Fortunately with age I’ve learnt to control my laughter outbursts (well…that’s a lie, some of the noises that come out, if I don’t say “I never laugh like that” once during the day then it’s a miracle). We had a fun little “quiz” to do, which my crazy haired tutorial lady could not get enough of…she was loving it all, and it rubbed off on me a bit too much.
We had to decide whether certain statements about the EU were true or not…if they had passed certain laws or what have you. The one I had to read out went as follows:
British yoghurt will be renamed “fermented milk pudding” – if Brussels has its way. Under plans being discussed by EU officials, only yoghurts made using the sour-tasting bacteria according to traditional Bulgarian recipes will be called “yoghurt”.
Since typing I’ve decided this is less humorous but I did actually chuckle out loud when I first read it. I would say I need to get out more, but the truth is I could not really be in less. I blame the lack of sleep. Now this statement is ofc false, however there are rumours that it will come in, in the next few years. Who knew my blog could be so educational…or not.
Back to last night…and what a bitch of an audience we had. There was a school trip, with 13-15 year olds. They were beyond rude. Most had their phones out, slumped in the seats, chatting away. It’s all the cast could talk (rant) about backstage. They laughed in the most inappropriate moments, which no matter how high you look above them is incredibly distracting. Even during the intense (yes, this musical does actually have some poignant moments…shock) scenes they weren’t mature enough. Apart from them rotters, the show went really well, apparently it was better than the opening night. Again, on a personal note, I know I can do better and with double figures coming to watch me this evening, the pressure is on. But it’s all good. One thing that did improve last night was…well…how damp my costume was at the end. I brought a beach towel with me yesterday…yes an actual mahoosive beach towel. In the second act, after my solo followed by a dance number, it gets a little hot and my back tends to resemble a waterfall (damn who’s a sexy bitch) and so I invested in my “COOL!” beach towel (it says that on it, I’m not sure what makes a beach towel “cool”). It definitely helped but I think I need Botox all over my back. I want it to be frozen. It was never really that expressive anyway…
The show was followed by a cast curry! And it turned into a midnight feast…literally. Yes, I know there were around 40 of us all ordering at near enough the same time, but at one point I thought they were actually getting the food from India itself. Being really quite a novice I didn’t branch out too much and went for mild and garlic…if it aint broke, don’t fix it! A few chile’s were being passed around which was rather humorous, I was gutted when they ran out just as it was my turn. Absolutely gutted. Seeing someone gasp for milk is not something that happens everyday, which is a good thing as I never want the novelty to wear off. I had a bit of a blonde moment when I questioned why Bollywood was being played on the TV screens. There was a guy dressed all in white who apparently resembled me. I’m hoping it was the dancing technique because I’m much better looking…not that it’s all about looks, but it is (hello jaw line).
All white on the night
On to today and I came home for a quickie (careful now…) brunch before I head into town to have a late lunch with my aunt who is coming to watch this evening! Work can wait for tomorrow…right?! X

The Question is why only a Muslim, has to prove time and again that he is a Muslim, and what type of Muslim, whether a Moderate Muslim, or a Staunch Muslim.
In Sept 2009. Muslims Gather on Capitol Hill for Prayer Nearly 3,000 people gathered Friday on the lawn of the Capitol for a day of Muslim unity that organizers said was about prayer, not protest. (Anna Uhls/The Washington Post) http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/video/2009/09/25/VI2009092503141.html?sid=ST2009092502033 PLEASE SEE THE VIDEO LINK. A MUST.
There is nothing like moderate, liberal or a staunch Muslim. A Musim is a Muslim. Just a Muslim. Then, Who is a Muslim ? Just a Muslim. ?
We have debates in TV channels which try to pose these question to few among us and some call themselves liberal or lighter Muslims, some in them are brave enough to accept that a Muslim has to pray five times Namaz, and he has to pray as it is very important, he also regrets that he is not able to pray for five times, he is notable to. But this liberal is proud to be a Muslim, and says he remembers Allah eve ry minute of his life.
All this is fine, we know many Muslims do not pray five times Namaz. And we also known Namaz is a very important Pillar of Islam. It is the act which is one of the five pillars of Islam. But there is greater committed a Muslim makes when he calls himself a Muslim, than just saying five times prayer. To understand it better let us try to know about the five pillars of Islam.
1. Proclaiming that there is no God but Allah and Mohammed sas is the Messnager of Allah.
2. Praying five time Namaz on the assigned times during the day. The timing is very important too.
3. Fasting the obligatory fasting in the month of Ramadan for full month of Ramdan.
4. Zakat the obligatory Charity of 2.5 % of the wealth in the in the form of Cash, Silver, Gold, or Tradable possessions, It is on obligatory on those who do not have certain minimum reassure of wealth to be make it obligatory on them.
5. Performing Hajj. In remembrance of Ibrahim sas The Prophet of Got and, Great, grandfather of Muslims, Christians, and Jews, his son of Ibrahim, Prophet Ismail and his Mother Bibi Hajira. Which Prophet Mohammed sas. Did too. And Hajj is obligatory on who can afford to go to Makah and have enough savings or self acquired money to do so if not it is obligatory on those who do not have the means.
Now what happens if one desists from doing one of these or all of these five pillars of Islam?
This has nothing to do with being moderate or staunch or good, or Liberal Muslim. These caricatures or labels have does not matter to a Muslim.
A person who does the obligatory acts and is sincere about them is a Muslim.
A Muslim who is not doing Namaz is he a liberal Muslim?
Muslim who does not care about the obligatory charity of Zakat for the poor in the society is he a Moderate or liberal Muslim?
Muslim who does not believe in oneness of God is not a liberal or even a moderate Muslim.
A Muslim who deliberately does not do Fasting in the month Ramadan, can he be called a moderate Muslim or a Liberal Muslim.
A Muslim who when having the recourses and means to make a trip to Makah and deliberately refuses to go and do Hajj, can he be called a liberal or moderate Muslim?
The Teachings of Quran and its Verses say, A Muslim is one, who abides by the commands of Quran, and the five pillars of the Islam are commands of Quran, and he a Muslim, is obedient to the will Allah and teachings of the Prophet Mohammed sas.
Islam has made it very clear and defined with no ambiguity that an important for a Muslim is to whole heartedly practice all the five things mentioned above, willingly. The broder guidelines and laws of Islam follow too to broaden the understanding of Islam.
Now what happens to those Muslims who do not do it and like to justify not doing it is a grave matter which cannot be explained there are very strict dictates for them.
But those who are missing on these are repenting and not justifying missing them is a sinner, and he still remains in the fold of Islam’s.
The most basic is first and for most being among the ones who bear witness that Allah is one and Mohammed is his messenger may peace and blessings of Allah be upon them.
Then remember his creator and the sustainer of the universe Allah by being a regularly practicing Namaz five times a day.
Be the one who understand the importance of self denial and control his thoughts, actions, deeds and understand the pains, and agonies of life, and those who are less fortunate by Fasting the full month of Ramadan for 28 to 30 days. In lunar month of Ramadan.
And sharing the wealth from what the creator has given us with those who are less fortunate and in need of support and care from us. Allah has made it obligatory on Muslim to share it with his family, neighbors, and people in society.
Who are less fortunate by reaching and identifying them and helping them with the Zakat in most respectable and dignified manner without hurting them or embracing them.
With sole intention of appreciating the fact that God has given this opportunity to clean him and make himself eligible for his mercy and good grace.
For those who like to adopt the confidently few teachings of Quran and conveniently keep the rest which they are not ignorant about or do not like to know and understand when the truth is with them in the form of Quran verses and the teachings of Mohammed may peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all.
To allow the subject to give the full light it requires. I wish quote few of the verses of Quran from Chapter 49 Al Hujarat Verses 15, 16 , 17 and 18. Do read them.
And let the Muslim who calls himself a Moderate or a nicer Muslim, or Modern Muslim see for himself where he stands or for that matter those who think they are practicing Muslims also allow these verses to make their Iman ( Belief ) Fresh and reconfirming.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Verse 15. Only those are the believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and afterward doubt not but strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allah. Those! They are the truthful.
Verse 16. Say: “Will you inform Allah about your religion? While Allah knows all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and Allah is All-Aware of everything.
Verse 17. They regard as favor upon you (O Muhammad SAW) that they have embraced Islam. Say: “Count not your Islam as a favour upon me. Nay, but Allah has conferred a favour upon you, that He has guided you to the Faith, if you indeed are true.
Verse 18. Verily, Allah knows the unseen of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do.
May Allah (God) guide the Man kind to the right path. And instead of we Human beings and the Moderate or the Liberal Debate allow us to be on the true path that our creator of this universe expects from us. We all agree that there is one creator who is all powerful and all knowing and the mater of the Day of Judgment. How good it will instead for we exploring means to define let us all reach to his message and understand from him.
Let us not get influenced of misguided by few those who choose to defame and alter the basics of Islam, and what it preaches and stands for. All those who do the acts of abuse, terrorize, kill innocent people in the name of Islam are in the right sense are the true destructors of Islam, and are criminals as per the teachings of Quran and Hades the true teachings of Mohammed may peace and blessings of Allah be on him.
There is not force in the matters of faith, faith is to be nurtured and grown in environment of bless, and piety with respect and protection to all living. And the best to judge our deeds of this life is the creator himself and the Day of Judgment will reveal all to all. But to make the message heard in most conducive and respectful manner with hurt to the sentiments and abuse to any living is responsibility of the one who has understood and blessed with the message of Quran and teachings, of Mohammed sas.
Neither the messengers of Allah nor the pious in them, nor any military power, nor greater empires in the past present and the future have the power to influence the minds and hearts of a single soul to make him understand and take the right path until the creator himself does not will and approve and change the heart of such individual how good or how rebel he may be towards him.
While discussing the issue of apostasy in Islam, probably no verse is more frequently cited to decide the issue, especially by Muslims in the West who advocate freedom of religion, than Qur’an 2:256: “There is no compulsion in religion.”
This verse is one of the most important verses in the Qur’an, containing a charter of freedom of conscience unparalleled in the religious annals of mankind.
